The Oakland A’s have announced last month that Salem Broadcasting station KTRB(860 The Answer) will be the team’s new flagship radio station with an expanded partnership with Sacramento radio station KHTK 1140 AM.
The team also announced a partnership with Tune-In, a leading radio streaming service. In addition to live streaming of all games in territory, tune-in will launch will launch an exclusive 24/7 channel devoted to the A’s, which will feature live programing and podcasts.
The team’s new partnerships with KTRB 860, KHTK-AM 1140, and TuneIn significantly amplify their coverage and reach, ensuring that every Spring Training and regular season game will be available throughout Northern California. These partnerships will allow us to reach A’s fans from as far north as Butte and Mendocino Counties across the Bay Area and down to Fresno and Monterey, with both terrestrial and free streaming broadcasts,” said A’s COO Chris Giles. “We are also thrilled to launch a 24/7 A’s channel on TuneIn and deliver exclusive content and unprecedented coverage throughout the season.”
A’s Announcers Ken Korach and Ray Fosse are expected to return for this coming season and beyond. “They do an incredible job,” Team President Dave Kavel said. “They’re going to be with us this year and beyond. There is not going to be a change in that area.”
KIQI 1010 AM will continue to serve as the Spanish Language radio station, broadcasting 72 games with Amauary Pi-Gonzalez returning for his 26th season as Spanish language play-by-play announcer.
KTRB will air every A’s game and KHTK will air air games that don’t conflict with Sacramento Kings Basketball broadcasts.
